Elaina had heard quiet conversations about the theater known as Moonlight. She follows her father’s associate and sneaks in the door hidden in the shadows. It is nothing like she ever imagined. The carnal acts on stage and amongst the patrons both shocked and aroused her. Keeping her cloak wrapped tight, she is stunned when Captain Graham Tate and Lord Levine deign to sit with her to watch the erotic scene. Keeping her silence throughout was a must to keep her secret, but her desire for the older dashing Captain by her side made it almost impossible to not wish she could partake in the entertainment.
Captain Graham Tate could not believe his luck when he spied the innocent Elaina inside the doors of Moonlight. She had fallen for the bait, stepped into the trap and was his for the taking. Teasing and tempting her into giving in to her own desires, he is stunned when he is rewarded with her passion and innocence. His only regret is that he cannot fully claim her as his without revealing to her the truth about him and taking the chance that she will hate and fear him forever.
I usually try to refrain from using this excuse when writing a review but my one complaint is that this novella was too short. Sexy, sinful, and shocking. This little glimpse into Elaina’s life is much too brief and like her, left me wanting more. I loved their heated interactions, their dance of flirtation during the day and their dive into carnal instruction during the darkened evening. The revelation of Graham’s secret is even more intriguing and I would love to see more from this world, maybe Lord Levine can find a passionate, interesting and accepting woman to claim and give me another taste.
