Mind Magic was a fun and quick read. Poppy Dennison has combined the world of wizardry and werewolves and created a hot romance between a young wizard and the alpha of a local pack.
Simon is attempting to become a full-fledged wizard by his birthday, but he keeps hearing the cries of some shifter cubs. The wizarding world and the shifter world do not intertwine. He figures surely someone will be along to save the cubs. After another day of hearing their fear, his conscience gets the best of him. Simon starts off to face a demon and save the cubs. His decision not only will change his life and fate, but also the life of the local alpha, Gray. They both must choose to trust one another because more is at stake than even their lives.
Gray is hot. I am a big alpha shifter fan and Gray checked all my boxes. The fact that he also had a son only enhanced the romance (I’m not a big kid fan) and was a big bonus. Simon is the typical innocent character, but he has so much backbone and always does what’s right. Dennison really fleshed out her world and characters and I hope that this is the beginning of a new series. There are some characters who I would love to see find their happy ever after, especially if they cause the two worlds to intertwine again!
