The See Her Fall Series by Melissa Blue features two contemporary romances that are funny and entertaining. Both romances, See Megan Run and See Lynn Chased, feature women with strong personalities who know what they want and are unafraid to follow their dreams. Megan loses greatly by leaving home but she also gained much, becoming independent and resourceful. Lynn breaks away from the shadow of her family name and does what makes her happy. They forge a friendship that supports them more than their real family. As for the leading men, Aiden and Nathan, I like that Aiden was unafraid of being vulnerable with Megan. He loved her, still loved her and expressed as much. Nate has more baggage than Aiden but he also expressed himself openly to Lynne once he realized his feelings for her had changed. Both stories are enjoyable and I liked that they interlaced but could be enjoyed separately. Megan and Lynn share the bond of feeling unaccepted by people who should love them unconditionally but they don’t allow this to break their spirits. It was very satisfying to experience the journey as both women find the perfect man to compliment their lives.
In See Megan Run, Megan Hazely and Aiden Blake were engaged to be married until a confrontation with her mother forced Megan to leave her home and Aiden behind. Twelve years later Megan’s mother lures her back with the promise of her childhood home if she’ll stay for a month. Megan wants nothing to do with her mother but she wants the house. However, the years have done nothing to dull her feelings for Aiden and Megan’s not sure she can walk away again after a month. In See Lynn Chased, Lynn Kelley takes over Megan’s store after she decides to follow her heart and stay with Aiden. Lynne is doing a fantastic good job until ego-maniac and corporate pillager Nathan Craine demands she sell or face a hostile takeover. The sexual chemistry between Lynne and Nate is as hot as the battle for her business and neither is conceding in either area. Nate’s life was irrevocably changed when his father was gunned down and this takeover will honor his dad’s memory. However, if Nate wins the battle with Lynne he may lose their newfound love.
