Sam Cheever novels are always fun, fast and filled with suspense. Stealth Honeybun is a contemporary, interracial romance featuring a heroic Texan and a feisty store owner. The Honeybun men always stir the blood and steal hearts with their inner and outer beauty. Cowardice is unknown to Honeybun men and Peyton steps in and takes charge of the situation that could have turned deadly. Willa reminds me of the other women currently in the lives of the Honeybun men. She kept calm under pressure and was helpful in neutralizing the threat. Love happens quickly but with Peyton and Willa’s brush with danger, it is perfectly normal to live life and seize love when it happens. The whole Honeybun clan is made up of colorful characters and they all come to the rescue when one is in trouble. I haven’t met a Honeybun man who didn’t provide an entertaining story. I hope the author keeps adding hot hunks to this family because readers are guaranteed a wild and enjoyable read.
Peyton Honeybun is in Indiana working and visiting the main branch of the Honeybun clan. A pit stop at a convenience store turns into a frightening experience when the store is held up by gunmen. Peyton takes control with the help of store owner Willa Sloan. Willa is the kind of woman Peyton would have loved to meet under better circumstances. Willa has pumped all her money into making her store a success. The business and her employees are important to her. Peyton seems like a capable man, but she is afraid they will not all make it out alive. As the gravity of their situation grows, Peyton manages to subdue most of the robbers, except for the most dangerous man. With quick action and some luck, Peyton and Willa take down the last gunman. The experience brings Willa and Peyton together but there is one problem; Peyton lives in Texas and Willa lives in Indiana.
