The Club by Yvette Hines is an interracial romance that features a shape shifter and a human who fall in love. Olivia is into alternate lifestyles as evidenced by her willingness to go to The Club to indulge in a ménage á trois. However, she’s never met a werewolf or a vampire and meeting both in one night kind of scrambles her brain. The story has very erotic with arousing scenes and is definitely not for the sexually chaste. Trae is a white shapeshifter, soon to become Alpha to his own pack. Olivia is a young black woman exploring her sexual freedom. Trae doesn’t have a problem with Olivia being human but some in his pack might have objections. Olivia and Trae are certainly compatible in the bedroom and on a number of occasions indulge in some pretty hot stuff. Trae is insatiable, but bless her heart Olivia holds her own. The story deals with Trae’s dilemma which is a serious matter but delivers a pleasurable and lusty read. I enjoyed the details and history given about Trae’s pack. The author did a great job of creating a cohesive and very believable story.
Werewolf Trae Wulfene is expected to take over as Alpha of his wolf pack but first he must take a wife. If he doesn’t, one will be chosen for him. Trae doesn’t have much time as his father, the current Alpha, needs to relocate to help a struggling pack. On his last night of fun, Trae finds his true mate. The only drawback, Olivia Sanders is human and unfamiliar with the ways of his pack. Trae has a short time to convince Olivia of who he is and what he wants, and for her to give up her current life to become his mate. Olivia simply wanted a night out experiencing something she’d never done before. As it turns out a family and belonging are also things she’s never had before. Trae’s offer is scary and exciting at the same time. Sure she feels a connection to Trae, but is it strong enough for her to give up everything she loves? With time running out Olivia has to make a decision.
