The Girl Says Yes by Jane O’Roarke infuses action and humor into an entertaining interracial romance. Raj and Cassie’s courtship is hot and explosive. Raj totally storms into her life and dominates her in every way and Cassie loves it. Their sex is off the charts and Raj is definitely not traditional when choosing sexual positions. Raj is a great character who shows there are many levels to his personality. He is a hard-ass Marine, a loving son and a seriously wicked lover. Cassie is also a memorable character who comes across as very hard and uncaring but deep down she is really a very sweet person starving for love. The novel has an incident of sexual assault and explores the gamut of emotions a woman goes through after such a harrowing ordeal. In Cassie’s case she has a good support system, which is key to a woman’s ability to recover and lead a healthy and fulfilling life and sex life. There are some bondage scenes in the novel which ups the heat index and is one more titillating reason to curl up with this novel.
Undercover FBI agent Cassie O’Brian is determined to solve the case of her father’s murder. Rajiv Gupta is a Marine commander assigned to track a suspected terrorist and their cases overlap one night in a smoke-filled bar. Raj is immediately attracted to the trash talking agent but her impulsiveness is as sexy as it is dangerous. As for Cassie, she’s in a relationship but it pales when compared to the emotions Raj evokes in her with a simple touch. Raj may be Hindu by culture but he’s American as apple pie. And, while he enjoys all kinds of women he imagined he’d eventually marry an Indian girl; that is until Cassie. Her beauty and spunk are like a siren he can’t resist and while their relationship is fraught with problems, he’s willing to work through any issue to have Cassie in his life.
