To Have and To Hold by Yvette Hines is a quick and enjoyable interracial romance. The story features what may seem like a rebound romance but it turns out to be the best thing that could happen to both people. The characters are interesting and while Kelli is down from being jilted she is certainly not defeated. Her decision to take off with Will seems really out there, but who knows the emotional state of a jilted woman. As it turns out her hastily made decision was the best one she ever made. It brought her a better man and the best sexual experiences ever, and that will continue judging from the hot office scene at the end.
The best day of Kelli Delaney’s life becomes the worst when she is left at the altar by her fiancé, Brett. Ashamed and broken hearted she takes off and runs into college friend Will Robertson, who always liked her. Kelli decides to give herself permission to have pleasure and turns her would-be honeymoon cabin into a hedonistic feast with Will. Kelli never showed any interest in Will while dating his friend Brett during their college years. It seems the pain of being jilted opens her eyes because she finally realizes she is with the wrong guy. Will is accommodating and fulfils her every sexual fantasy but wants more than a few weeks of fun. The story really heats up when Brett has a change of heart and wants Kelli back.
