Dr. Jordan Scott is banking everything, including her life, that she can simply disappear into thin air, forget the nightmare she left behind in New York, and never be found again by her ex- fiance Caesar Santiago or his powerful family.

Detective Riley Donavan believes the pretty doctor knows more than she’s telling him. Can they work together to solve the murder of her brother, or will they end up the next victims of the crime lord?

Having read many of this author’s books, there was no way I was missing out on reading this one and of course it didn’t disappoint. I loved how the story introduced both characters, and how well they’d done for themselves in their jobs. The plot and dialogue was well written, drawing me in as a reader with how vulnerable the heroine was because she feared for her life and how far the hero would go to get Jordan to trust him, even if it was at the risk of his own life. The sex scenes were juicy, of the small amount there were, and illustrated the abundant chemistry between Jordan and Riley which was there from the moment they met. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait to see what Ms. Eason has in store with future books she’s sure to release.
