MLRPress

All this month, AReCafe highlights our favorite romance publishers. As we celebrate National Novel Writing Month we’d like to help aspiring authors find the perfect match.

Today, we spotlight MLR Press.

Founded: mid 2000s

Genres: MLR stands for Man Love Romance, so naturally you will find all manner of gay erotic romance here. Popular subgenres include BDSM, thrillers, and parnormals.

Noted Authors: Laura Baumbach, James Buchanan, Rick R. Reed, Kaje Harper

Did you know…?

A number of MLR authors have won awards for their titles. Richard Stevenson’s Red White Black and Blue took the Lambda for Gay Mystery, and Barry Brennessel’s The Celestial won the 2012 BOTYA Gold Award from ForeWord Reviews.

Submissions: MLR currently has a special call for “anti-Valentine’s Day” stories. You can view the particulars and their general guidelines on their website.

  1. I would like to know if Laura Baumbach will be releasing 2nd parts to her novels Details of the Hunt and Out there in the Night. I loved these books and the main characters very much and would dearly love to know what happens next.

  2. Oops looked at the date this was posted and looks like I missed my opportunity to ask this. Oh well nevermind.
