With Leap Day coming soon, we have one more day to enjoy a good book in February. Make it a good one! If you’re feeling nostalgic for your first years of reading, you might want to revisit the Berenstain Bears in memory of co-creator Jan Berenstain, who passed away recently at 88. Between the Berenstain Bears, Richard Scarry, and Dr. Suess, I was never far from a book as a child.

Sad to hear of the passing of Jan Berenstain. My two boys used to love the bears books. My youngest son used to make me read The Bear Detectives to him over and over again. He still has it on his bookshelves.
