The ARe Café is one of Digimonkey’s favorite places, and not just because she has her own special cubbyhole here at the Dear Digimonkey eBook Tips. The Café is a wonderful place to share information about authors and books, especially regarding great books that are not to be missed! That’s why Digi’s going to talk to you today about the Recommended Reads section of the Café.
What Are Recommended Reads and How Are They Selected?
Recommended Reads are books that have been reviewed by ARe columnists and that are also available for purchase on the site. For books to be eligible for review, the publisher must first be enrolled in the R&R program. After enrolling, the books from that publisher are included on our columnists’ virtual bookshelf. Each columnist is allowed to select up to 30 books per month to review. These selections become the reading list from which each ARe columnists chooses their Top Picks and Recommended Reads.
If you’re an author who would like to have your books included on the list for possible review, please contact your publisher and request that they enroll in the R&R program. If you’re a publisher who is not yet enrolled in this program, please contact Cat Johnson to sign up: cat.johnson@allromanceebooks.com
Columnists choose their books based on the genres they review and their personal interest in the story itself. The All Romance staff does not intervene on behalf of authors who are requesting reviews. Reviews are also never solicited and only publishers who enroll in the R&R program are eligible for selection. Some current categories include:

You can access the Recommended Reads section by clicking on the link in the left hand sidebar of the Café.
Recommended Reads
If you click on:
- View All – you will be taken to the Recommended Reads Archive page with all current and previous posts.
- Book Title – you will be taken to that particular book’s review
- Author Name – you will be taken to the author’s Review Archive with all current and previous reviews.
For readers, the Recommended Reads are a great way to learn about hot new books in the genres you enjoy. For authors and publishers, it’s a great way to connect with readers. And Digimonkey highly recommends it!
