Is the 4th of July sale in effect already? I’m asking because the rebate price on some (many) books does not equal 50%. It’s more like 30%. If this is really the rebate price for the day, I’ll still buy at least some of the books I intended to buy, because I’ve got some on my list that I doubt will ever be on sale any other way. However, if…[Read more] -

Hi, Does ARE let you know if you add to your cart a book you already own? Thank you!-
In most cases, yes. A yellow banner will appear directly underneath the book title in the Cart that says “You already have this item in your library”, along with a button underneath that says “Delete Item”. However, if you use the “Buy Now” button to purchase, you will bypass the Cart, which prevents you from seeing the notification…[Read more]

Dear Digi, I have noticed a recent influx of self-published titles in your MM romances and quite honestly, I find them very annoying. It was one of the reasons I stopped buying at Amazon as it was difficult to find the new releases from known publishers amongst all the self-published titles. With titles such as “Vampires Fuck: The Coming” , it…[Read more]-
We actually had a meeting this week to begin brainstorming how to improve discovery so that it’s easier for readers to find the types of books they most like to read. Several ideas are being tossed around and we hope to begin implementing some of them over the next few weeks. Digi will keep everyone posted in the eBook Tips section!

ALL the self pubbed or just those with ”nasty” titles?
-
Strictly speaking, those with the nasty titles, low word count for a high price tag… The problem is, of course, that one person’s version of a nasty title won’t be another persons and I can’t see how an algorithm could be used to merely take out the not-so-nice titles. That said, I know ARe are currently recategorizing their books into…[Read more]

Hello All, I have notice there are some books that Amazon has which cannot be found here at ARE. I don’t know if its the publisher or the author that could be the culprit. If that’s not the case. How can I put in a request for book, if I dont find it here at Are.? “Slave Master’s Son” by Tiana Laveen is top 10 on Amazon’s Hot Seller list…[Read more]-
There are several reasons why this might occur, Ayana. The two most common are that the publisher might have an agreement with Amazon that prohibits them from listing the book on both Amazon and our site at the same time, or that the publisher/author is currently unaware of what we have to offer them as a retailer. Regardless of the reason, we…[Read more]

How are books put into the category’s, in particularly the Interracial Category. I was disturbed when several of my favorite authors came out this month with books that I saw as new releases on the home page. Then when I look for them in the main IR category they were not there. I had to now type in the author and search for them. Upon looking at…[Read more]-
Great question, Ayana! The categories are selected by the publisher when the book is uploaded to our site, but as you’ve discovered, sometimes a category is left out that would be helpful for a book search. Tags, on the other hand, can be added by anyone with an ARe account when they’re logged in, whether it’s the publisher, author, or…[Read more]
