    ’Two Man Team’ by Jet Mykles has a jock and a geek who have been friends for a while. I can recommend it. Although it is the second in a series it can easily be read as a stand-alone.

    I really like Edward from Lynn Lorenz’s ’Edward Unconditionally’. It’s part of a series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. Also Acer Adamson’s Max & Skyler series features a character which is less than butch. book 1 – Only Words book 2 – Any Excuse (Acer Adamson = Jaye Valentine)

    The story is ’Beginning to Believe’ from the anthology ’Bus Stories and Other Tales’ by Sean Michael. I checked Are and this story is given as excerpt for the book. So i’m 99.99% sure this is the one you’re looking for. :D
