Today I want to talk about the third book in The Rys Chronicles epic fantasy series. It’s called Judgment Rising. In this fantasy novel I advance the saga about 5 years. Dreibrand and Miranda have established their new settlements in the Wilderness and started a family, but the Atrophane Empire is creeping closer. I also introduce a new character, Dreibrand’s older brother Atarek. He’s a druggie and a gambler. He’s thought for years that his brother died fighting wars for the Empire, but when he learns that Dreibrand might be alive, he sets off on a quest to find him. While this is going on, two ancient creatures called tabre emerge from hibernation in the Wilderness determined to have revenge upon the magical rys who destroyed their civilization millenia ago.
